Tips and Ideas for Weddings

WHERE TO PLACE YOUR CANDLES

  • The main bridal table will come to life if you place these candles along the front. Only one or two spaced per person is enough for a fairytale effect.
  • Three candles on the cake table, one at the front and two at the sides are all you need to show off your cake and look great in the photos of the official cake cutting.
  • Four or five candles per guests table will add pockets of ambience throughout your venue.

Tips for creating place card candles like the ones shown

What you need

  • The names of your guests

  • Microsoft Word or similar or just a pen! Buy a nice silver or gold one.

  • Double sided tape

  • Paper

  • Scissors
  • Ribbon (optional) 17cms per candle

How to do it quickly

    1. If using MS Word, Choose a nice font and a nice colour

    2. If you know how, change the layout to landscape, but it’s not necessary.

    3. Type all your guest names or copy and paste them from the guest list.

    4. Line them all up in rows, here’s why:

    5. Turn the paper over and stick down rows of the double sided tape.

    6. Turn the paper over again and start cutting out the names.

    7. You are now ready to peel of the other side of the tape and stick the names to the candles.

    8. Don’t forget to group the names by table number and mark the number in the candle boxes to make it easy when putting them on the tables.

Eight reasons not to use cheap silver foil tealights

  1. You still have to find a glass container to put them in.
  2. By the time you've found some nice ones you will probably have spent way over $1 on each one anyway.
  3. They never burn as long as they say on the packet especially with the air-con on.
  4. The silver foil holding the candle is visible through the glass and looks ugly.
  5. Our candles have about 5 times as much wax.
  6. Everyone else uses cheap tealights - You can be different!
  7. You don't have to drive to a store to buy them
  8. We will deliver to your door or your venue

  9. 5 Candles Per Table

This makes such a difference to any event.

This is one of the best Ideas I've seen in 7 years of running weddings.

A simple piece of silk lace cut from a strip and stick on with double sided tape.

This type of lace can be bought by the metre from most department stores or craft shops or habedashery specialist shops. Watch out for it here once we source it in bulk we will be selling it.
